Leatherdale (Chief Executive)
Gordon Leatherdale founded the
Country Food and Dining Company Ltd, an EIS qualifying Company,
in November 2006 having worked
previously at Noble, the Investment Bank. Prior to this he served in the Armed Forces. During his time at Noble he specialised in EIS and Venture Capital Trust fundraising. The team raised over £100 million which was successfully invested in small unlisted and AIM quoted companies. In particular, with a focus on the food and leisure markets, he worked closely with David Bruce in the fundraising for The Capital Pub Company 2 PLC. Gordon therefore has a good knowledge of EIS and Venture Capital Trusts. In August 2006, Gordon left Noble to set up The Country Food and Dining Company using his own resources, the objective being to develop a number of sites over time. By June 2007 he had raised £2.3 million from a number of private investors under the EIS, in which he also invested largely the entirety of his own resources. The Company went on to make the freehold purchase of Highclose Farm Shop in October 2007, where he has since been based. |
